A Message from Lonnie Wilson

  

Henry County Georgia is one of the fastest-growing counties in the nation, that can bring unfettered growth and expansion, sometimes faster than residents can keep up with. While that can be good for business, it can also leave the residents wondering what has happened to their community. Henry County government should work for all residents. Public Safety, Smart Growth & Land Use, Infrastructure & Transportation, Education & Workforce Development, and above all, Community Engagement and Transparency, should be at the top of the agenda. It’s time Henry County works for all the People.

  • I am a current member of the Board of Governors at Eagles Landing Country Club

  • I sit on the Board of Directors, Ride to the Olympics Foundation
  • I have been honored to serve as a Youth Mentor for The Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals
  • My wife and I are business owners in Henry County 
  • 25 Year Retired US Air Force Officer, Served as Deputy Director Logistics Plans and Procedures 22nd Air Force Headquarters


Henry County Airport Planning & Zoning

I currently serve on the Henry County Airport Authority, and act as advisory to Planning and Zoning for airport expansion in Henry County.

Meet Lonnie

About Me

My wife, Dianna, our three daughters and a very spoiled Yorkipoo love being Henry County Residents and business owners.  As an Air Force Officer,  former Air Traffic controller and-more recently-retired Captain for American Airlines, I have seen a good part of the world, but I knew that Henry Country was where my roots were firmly planted.  It's a great place to call home and I see so many great opportunities for Henry County on the horizon.

United By A Common Goal

As a long-time Henry county resident, I have seen the explosive growth of our great county. I lived in McDonough through the early 2000s,  relocated to follow my career path and couldn't wait to return to my forever home. There is always room for improvement, and I know I can support our district in the many areas presenting opportunity.  Let's face it- The landscape of the county has changed. I am a firm believer that we all want the same things for our family: decent wages and cost of living, a safe place for our children, improved school system and a place where we all flourish together.  We need leaders who are focused on meeting the challenges that come with growth. Henry county has the potential to be the jewel of the South Side of Metro Atlanta.  We deserve it. We want it.  And when the people win, Henry County wins.
